Linklaters has advised Wallbox N.V., a global leader in electric vehicle charging and energy management solutions, on the restructuring of its financial indebtedness and the reinforcement of its capital structure.
The transaction, which combines a comprehensive refinancing of the group’s existing debt with new money financing and an equity capital increase supported by Wallbox’s key financial creditors and core shareholders, is expected to significantly strengthen the company’s liquidity position and provide a more sustainable long-term capital structure. It has been implemented through a court-sanctioned restructuring plan under Spanish law.
The Linklaters team was led by Madrid R&I Partner Francisco Sainz-Trápaga, supported by Managing Associates Francisco Ruiz, Pablo Ruiz de Assin, Jorge Echanove, Managing Associate (Knowledge) Esther González, and Associates María Martín, Alejandro Flujas, Laura García and Nicolás Hernández, with input from specialists across the firm’s international network including New York, Amsterdam, Paris, Milan, Frankfurt and Brussels.
