Linklaters is proud to have been recognised across five categories at the TMT Finance Awards EMEA 2026, reflecting our exceptional strength in digital infrastructure, notably data centres, and telecoms – under the leadership of David Martin, who was named Lawyer of the Year. These awards are a testament to the trust our clients place in us and our commitment to delivering solutions that support their most ambitious strategic goals.

Our award wins:

  1. Europe Data Centre Deal of the Year – M&A (DigitalBridge’s US$5.8bn acquisition of Yondr)
  2. Europe Data Centre Deal of the Year – Financing (Data4’s €3.3bn dual financing package)
  3. Legal Advisory Trailblazer of the Year (DigitalBridge’s US$5.8bn acquisition of Yondr)
  4. Europe Telecom Deal of the Year – M&A (£15bn VodafoneThree merger)
  5. Lawyer of the Year – David Martin

These awards highlight a standout year for our global digital infrastructure practice. Working closely with clients across the sector, Linklaters has advised on some of the most complex and transformative data centre and connectivity mandates in the market. Each transaction demonstrates our focus on helping clients navigate evolving technologies, regulatory environments and investment opportunities – reinforcing our position as a leading adviser on transactions shaping the future of Europe’s digital economy.

Our work on DigitalBridge’s acquisition of Yondr and Data4’s landmark financing demonstrates our unrivalled capability in hyperscale data centre M&A and financing. These transactions involved pioneering structures, multi jurisdictional execution and cross practice coordination on an exceptional scale – the type of work that has become the hallmark of our global digital infrastructure platform.

In the telecoms space, our role advising CK Hutchison and Three UK on their £15bn merger with Vodafone UK further showcases our ability to deliver sustained, multi year support on high impact, regulatory intensive transactions that reshape national connectivity markets.

At the centre of this success is David Martin, whose leadership has helped build one of the market’s most sophisticated digital infrastructure practices. David has advised on many of the sector’s most defining and complex transactions over the past decade and continues to shape the direction of the sector.
