Linklaters is delighted to announce that Marc-Olivier Roux has joined the firm as a Tax partner in Paris, bringing with him a team of specialist tax lawyers.
Marc-Olivier specialises in transactional tax, with a particular focus on the tax structuring of leveraged transactions and cross-border deals. He advises French and international investment funds, asset managers and corporates, particularly leading private equity and infrastructure funds. He is joined by Clément Jouanolle, who joins Linklaters as Counsel, and Yacine Ouldali, Managing Associate.
Marc-Olivier and his team join Linklaters from PwC, where they advised a broad range of investment funds, sovereign wealth funds, family offices and portfolio companies on the tax aspects of their transactions. He has also practiced at leading French and US law firms, advising clients on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, structured financings and real estate transactions.
Marc-Olivier’s arrival further strengthens the firm’s tax capability in support of its Corporate/M&A, Banking, Restructuring & Insolvency and Energy & Infrastructure practices. Alongside Partners Cyril Boussion and Leïla Juvin, whose expertise includes tax advice and fund structuring, Marc-Olivier enhances the firm’s recognised strength in the tax structuring of LBO and private equity transactions.
Together, they form a team of ten lawyers able to advise on all aspects of transactional tax and support investment funds throughout their lifecycle, from fundraising and structuring through to exits, both in France and on cross-border transactions. Marc-Olivier’s arrival follows a series of high profile hires in Paris, including Marc Lordonnois, Public Law & Regulatory Partner, Pierre Arnoux Mayoly and Shirin Deyhim, Leveraged Finance Partners, François Kopf, Linklaters’ Global Chair of Restructuring and Insolvency, Mathieu Della Vittoria, Restructuring and Insolvency Partner, Marc Perrone, Financial Regulation Partner, Hubert Segain, Head of Linklaters’ Corporate/M&A practice in Paris, and Florent Mazeron, Corporate/Private Equity Partner.
Françoise Maigrot, National Managing Partner in Paris, said:

Strengthening our tax team enhances our ability to support clients on their most demanding M&A and private capital transactions, where tax structuring, particularly in leveraged and cross-border transactions, is often a critical component of success.”
Hubert Segain, Head of Corporate/M&A in Paris, added:
“Marc-Olivier’s extensive experience in the tax structuring of leveraged transactions, together with his strong relationships with leading sponsors and investment funds, will be a significant asset in supporting clients on their most strategic transactions.”
