Françoise Maigrot leads the firm’s real estate practice in France, as well as acting as the Firm's National Managing Partner in France. She advises French and international investors, property funds, end users and developers across all areas of real estate law. She has extensive experience across all major real estate sectors and asset classes. Françoise is trusted by leading players for strategic matters and high-value deals across the market.
Experience
- Advised Ardian Real Estate Fund (ARREEF II) on the setting up of a joint venture with AOG and Emerige through a special purpose vehicle under the form of an FPS (regulated fund) for the carrying out of a major development at Ile Seguin in Boulogne Billancourt comprising the construction of various buildings for office use, retail, hotel and an art centre
- Advised Ardian on its first investment in self-storage with the acquisition of Costockage
- Advised Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group on the sale of its interests in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel located in Paris to Statuto Group
- Advised Tristan Capital Partners on the acquisition of the Liberté 2 campus, comprising six office buildings in Charenton-le-Pont from two French institutional investors in a share deal. The property complex is an "urban campus" of almost 46,000 sqm fully leased to Natixis
- Advised Groupement Les Mousquetaires (Intermarché) on the proposed acquisition of a group of sale points from the Casino group in France with a total turnover of €1.6bn
- Advised BMO Real Estate (now Columbia Threadneedle) on the acquisition of the entity owning the trophy building for office and retail uses located at 71-73 Avenue des Champs-Elysées in Paris
- Advised Invesco Real Estate on the purchase of the entity owning the 45,000 sq m Capital 8 Office complex located in central Paris and on the purchase of the Canal+ headquarters in the western Paris suburb of Boulogne-Billancourt on behalf of an Asian fund and its subsequent resale
