Thomas joined Linklaters in 2012. He was promoted to Managing Associate in 2015 and appointed Counsel in 2026.
Thomas studied law at the universities of Marburg and Mainz. He was admitted as a lawyer in 2012.
He speaks German and English.
Thomas is a Frankfurt-based Counsel in Linklaters' Tax practice. He advises clients on complex cross-border tax matters, with a strong focus on M&A, private equity and capital markets transactions – working closely with colleagues across practices and jurisdictions to deliver integrated advice on even the most complex deals.
His transactional work spans the full deal lifecycle: from tax-efficient structuring through to post-acquisition reorganisations and financial restructurings. He has advised financial institutions, corporations and private equity sponsors on cross-border tax planning, M&A transactions and post-M&A integrations.
Thomas has also extensive experience in advising financial institutions and corporations on large tax compliance matters, including tax criminal investigations.
