Sinead is highly regarded for her expertise – spanning executive appointments and terminations, investigations, and employment aspects of M&A deals. Sinead has particular experience in crisis management mandates, guiding clients through complex HR challenges. She is also an experienced litigator, with a robust track record in defending high-value claims such as unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, and breach of contract.

Digital Bridge on the employment aspects of the acquisition of Yondr Group involving complex employment issues across multiple jurisdictions.
The Royal Bank of Scotland Group on the employment aspects of significant projects including the ringfencing project, addressing employment issues affecting c. 50,000 employees.
BBC on an independent review commissioned by the BBC relating to multiple allegations against Tim Westwood working alongside Gemma White KC.
A mining company on the high-profile termination of its Chief Executive Officer for serious misconduct (fraud) and on a separate investigation relating to personal conduct issues.
A key player in the UK energy market on the disciplinary process and exit of an employee who had resigned and taken confidential information, in parallel with proceedings taken by the client against the employee in the courts to recover the information.
A law firm on a number of partner matters, including successfully mediating a complex partner dispute, defending an unfair dismissal and discrimination claim before the Employment Tribunal and managing restructuring and exits.
A data centre business on its most complex and important employment work including navigating potential disputes relating to the application of post-termination restrictions in a period of rapid growth for both incoming and outgoing senior employees.

Sinead has recently been named as one of IEL’s Women Leaders 2025.

Sinead is a frequent commentator in the media on employment issues and has appeared on Women’s Hour and the Economist Film and been quoted in multiple trade and press publications talking about topical issues including employment issues arising from AI and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Education and Qualifications

Sinead studied law at Trinity College Dublin. She also holds diplomas in corporate law and governance, and employment law from the Law Society of Ireland.
