Beyond the Office
Caitlin is a member of the prestigious Edward Bennett Williams Inn of Court in Washington, D.C., whose members include federal judges, senior government attorneys at DOJ and SEC, and the top D.C. white collar defense lawyers.
Caitlin served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Cecilia M. Altonaga, United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
She previously worked as a Senior Research Associate for the Public International Law & Policy Group on projects related to war crimes prosecutions and witness protection in Uganda, election monitoring and constitutional reform in Kosovo, and minority rights in Tanzania. For the 2010 Kosovar elections, she served as an independent election observer appointed by the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations. Caitlin also has experience working on the Hill from her time as a Security for a New Century fellow with congressional thinktank, The Henry L. Stimson Center, and interning for Congressman Lloyd Doggett.
Education and Qualifications
Caitlin earned a dual degree, cum laude, from American University, holding a Juris Doctor from the Washington College of Law and a Masters of Arts in International Politics from the School of International Service. She graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College with an A.B. in Government.
Caitlin is a member of the District of Columbia and New York State Bars, and she is admitted to the United States Supreme Court. The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) has designated Caitlin as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).
She is proficient in Spanish and French.
