Aleksei is a Russian-qualified Managing Associate in the corporate practice in Luxembourg. He advises international clients on corporate and M&A transactions, including acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate reorganisations, group restructurings, management incentive plans and general corporate matters.
Since joining the Luxembourg team in October 2022, he has focused in particular on private equity deals and structures, including joint ventures, reorganisations, the implementation of management incentive plans and ongoing corporate governance support.
Before moving to Luxembourg, Aleksei was part of the Linklaters team in Moscow since 2017. He advised a wide range of international and domestic clients across different sectors including technology, media and telecoms, consumer, mining, industrials, infrastructure and transport, and healthcare. He has experience working on transactions at both holding and operating company level, and on private M&A and private equity deals.
This mix of local and international experience enables Aleksei to guide clients through complex, multi-jurisdictional structures and help them execute transactions efficiently and with a clear focus on their commercial objectives.
Aleksei holds a PhD in Law from the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law in Moscow, with a PhD thesis in corporate law devoted to shareholders’ remedies to protect their rights and interests (including by way of direct and derivative actions). He obtained both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in law from the National Research University Higher School of Economics in Moscow (with the master’s program specialising in corporate law).
He is a member of the Luxembourg Bar.
