Overview

Nasreen specialises in debt capital markets and derivatives and structured products. She has experience in the programme establishment and issuances of Islamically-compliant financial instruments such as sukuk as well as conventional instruments such as AT1s for a range of sovereign wealth funds and financial institutions in the Middle East.

Prior to joining the Dubai Capital Markets team, she trained in the firm’s London office supporting various teams, including Private Equity, Financial Regulation and Derivatives and Structured Products.

Experience

  • Banque Saudi Fransi: advising on the establishment of its US$4bn Trust Certificate Issuance Programme and its drawdown under its MTN programme.
  • Energy Development Oman SAOC: advising on the establishment of its sukuk programmes and the issuances of an inaugural US$1bn sukuk.
  • Damac Real Estate Development Limited: advising one of the leading developers of high-end property in the Middle East on the issuance of US$400m Trust Certificates due 2026 by Alpha Star Holding VII Limited and guaranteed by Damac.
  • Al Rajhi Banking and Investment Corporation: advising the arrangers and dealers on the largest Islamic bank's issue of US$2bn Shari’a Certificate of Deposit Programme.
  • Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank PJSC: advising on the issuance of its US$750,000,000 Additional Tier 1 Capital Certificates through a Cayman SPV.
