Overview
Maxim joined Linklaters in February 2021 and is a member of the Dutch corporate M&A practice, having previously completed an internship with the firm. He has also spent time in our banking and finance (restructuring and insolvency) team, which adds a strong financing and restructuring dimension to his corporate law knowledge. Maxim advises leading Dutch and international corporate clients on a broad range of corporate law matters, with a particular focus on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, public takeovers and general corporate advisory work.
In 2026, Maxim was seconded to our Madrid office as well as to ING Bank N.V.
Experience
- Multinational consumer goods company: advising on the €4.5bn sale of the world’s leading tea business, a portfolio of 34 leading brands (including PG Tips, Pukka, T2 and TAZO), 11 factories and three tea estates in Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania to CVC Capital Partners.
- Hillhouse Capital Management: advising on the purchase of Philips Domestic Appliances business.
- CJ Cheiljedang Corporation: advising on their acquisition of Batavia Biosciences, a company engaged in the business of providing process development and manufacturing services in pre-clinical and clinical stages of drug development, biopharmaceutical R&D and the development and production of vaccines.
- Private Equity Sponsor: advising the seller including funds advised by it on the sale of Unilabs, a leading pan-European provider of laboratory and imaging diagnostics services, to A.P. Moller Holding, the parent company of the Danish A.P. Moller Group founded and run by the Maersk family.
- Multinational technology company specializing in geoscience solutions: advising in relation to its divestment of its geoscience business (GeoSoftware) to Total Specific Solutions (TSS), a subsidiary of Topicus.com Inc. (TSXV: TOI).
- DELA: advising on the acquisition of competitor Yarden including its insurance activities, the funeral company and all underlying organisations and participations.
