Overview
Barbara has specialised experience in debt capital markets products with a focus on asset-based structured finance, including, in particular, structured covered bonds, project bonds, true sale and synthetic securitisation and other secured financing of various asset classes as well as derivatives.
Barbara is further specialised in portfolio and NPL transactions and their (re-)financing (in particular via structured finance solutions). She is an expert on German consumer credit law and leasing aspects.
She is recommended by JUVE, Chambers, Legal 500 and IFLR1000. She is one of the "leading names" in JUVE 2024/2025 and is listed by Chambers Germany/Global 2025 as one of the leading lawyers in the field of structured finance. Legal 500 Germany 2025 also lists Barbara as a "leading partner". In addition, she is recognised by IFLR1000 Germany 2024 as "highly regarded" in the areas of debt, structured finance and securitisation, derivatives and asset finance. She is also recommended by Handelsblatt/Best Lawyers® 2025 in the category "best lawyers" for structured finance.
Education and Qualifications
Barbara joined Linklaters in 2006 and became Managing Associate in 2008. She was elected Partner in 2016.
Beyond the Office
Barbara studied law at the University of Bonn and worked as a trainee lawyer at the Higher Regional Court Dusseldorf.
She speaks German, English, Spanish, and French.
