Overview

Christian is a Managing Associate in the firm’s Corporate team in London. He advises public and private companies, as well as financial institutions, on a broad range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including public and private M&A, joint ventures, carve-outs and equity capital markets transactions.
Christian has spent time in the firm’s Dubai office and also on secondment to the Sponsor Services team of a global investment bank.

Experience

A selection of Christian’s recent M&A and capital markets experience includes advising:

CK Hutchison and 3 in 2023 on the joint venture between 3 and Vodafone to create VodafoneThree, the largest mobile operator in the UK, and subsequently in 2026 on Vodafone’s buyout of CK Hutchison’s 49% stake in VodafoneThree for £4.3bn, effected via a cancellation of shares.
Chesnara on its proposed acquisition of Scottish Widows Europe, a Luxembourg based closed life insurance business, from Lloyds Banking Group.
Addison Lee on the sale by its shareholders of the entire interest in the business to ComfortDelGro, headquartered in Singapore.
Petrofac on its balance sheet restructuring and equity raise.
A consortium of bidders on its bid for Electricity North West, which ultimately sold at a valuation of c. €5bn.
Bitpanda in relation to its acquisition of Trustology, a UK based crypto custodian wallet provider.
Innovation Group on its restructuring, and subsequently its shareholders on the sale of the business to Allianz X.
EY on its proposed global separation of its auditing and consulting businesses.
The syndicate of underwriters on the oversubscribed initial public offering of CVC Capital Partners, raising aggregate gross sale proceeds of c. €2.3bn.
The syndicate of underwriters on five transactions between 2023 and 2024, involving the monetisation of shares held by a consortium in London Stock Exchange Group. In total, c. 149m shares were monetised through a combination of secondary placements and sales of call options for an aggregate value of more than £11.5bn.
Yellow Cake, an AIM listed company, on multiple cash placings since 2021. The placings undertaken in 2023 alone accounted for 78.55% of the market share of 2023 AIM equity offerings (Source: Bloomberg).
The syndicate of underwriters on the proposed initial public offering of Mishcon de Reya.
Mitie on its rights issue and acquisition of Interserve Facilities Management.
