Dan has experience advising major corporates and financial investors on mergers and acquisitions, public takeovers, joint ventures and restructurings, as well as providing general corporate law and corporate governance advice to both publicly-listed and private companies.

Dan has worked at Linklaters since September 2018 and has been seconded to UBS, Anglo American and the Linklaters Frankfurt office.

Work highlights

Dan's experience includes advising:

  • Remgro and its consortium with MSC on the £3.7bn public M&A takeover of Mediclinic
  • RTX Corporation, a large multinational defence and aerospace conglomerate on the sale of its actuation business to Safran, a French multinational in the aerospace sector for US$1.8bn
  • Charter Court Financial Services on its £1.5bn recommended all-share combination with OneSavings Bank
  • Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a part of BlackRock, on its significant investment in Lanes Group, one of the UK’s leading providers of water and wastewater services
  • Jardine Matheson: advising on the complex simplification of its parent company structure, including the acquisition of shares by Jardine Matheson in Jardine Strategic
  • EVRAZ plc, a FTSE 100 steel and mining company, in relation to the demerger of its coal business, PAO Raspadskaya

Education and qualifications

Dan holds a first-class undergraduate degree in Law from the University of Sheffield.

As part of his legal training, Dan also obtained an MSc in Law, Business and Management from the University of Law.
