Overview
Dan has experience advising major corporates and financial investors on mergers and acquisitions, public takeovers, joint ventures and restructurings, as well as providing general corporate law and corporate governance advice to both publicly-listed and private companies.
Dan has worked at Linklaters since September 2018 and has been seconded to UBS, Anglo American and the Linklaters Frankfurt office.
Experience
Dan's experience includes advising:
- Mitie Group plc: on its recommended £3.1bn acquisition by OCS (a UK-headquartered facilities management provider) and on its £366m recommended public takeover offer for Marlowe plc.
- Genel Energy plc: a UK-listed energy group, on its $360m acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Capricorn Energy plc.
- Jardine Matheson Holdings Limited: on its recommended offer to acquire the remaining shares which it does not already own in Mandarin Oriental, the international hotel investment and management group and on the complex simplification of its parent company structure, including the acquisition of shares by Jardine Matheson in Jardine Strategic.
- Remgro and its consortium with MSC on the £3.7bn public M&A takeover of Mediclinic.
- Charter Court Financial Services on its £1.6bn recommended all-share combination with OneSavings Bank plc effected by means of a scheme of arrangement and governed by the UK Takeover Code.
- RTX Corporation, a large multinational defence and aerospace conglomerate on the sale of its actuation business to Safran, a French multinational in the aerospace sector for US$1.8bn.
- Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), as a part of BlackRock, on its significant investment in Lanes Group, one of the UK’s leading providers of water and wastewater services.
- ams AG, a sensors company listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange, on various matters relating to its €4.58bn acquisition of Osram.
