Overview
Eléonore specialises in pre-contentious and litigation matters ranging from white-collar crime, financial and banking disputes and investigations (in particular in relation to market abuse offences), post M&A disputes to general commercial law disputes (such as unfair commercial practices). In this respect, she appears before Civil and Commercial Courts as well as the French AMF and ACPR. She also provides advice in relation to the new French anticorruption Law.
Eléonore was appointed by the French Minister of Justice to draft the report “The Future of the Legal Profession” (L’Avenir de la profession d’avocat), published in February 2017.
Work highlights
Eléonore has acted for clients in many major disputes. Those that can be disclosed include:
- advising and acting on behalf of an investment firm in relation to the enforcement proceedings before the Sanctions Committee of the AMF for market manipulation;
- assisting an international engineering group on identifying risks of corruption and shortcomings in internal control processes to implement a compliance and ethics program within the company worldwide;
- advising and acting on behalf of a leading energy company as well as of one of its executives in the context of a criminal investigation led by the financial investigating department of the Paris District Court, on the grounds of corruption of foreign public officials;
- advising and acting on behalf of a leading insurance company in relation to the enforcement proceedings before the Sanctions Committee of the ACPR for non-compliance with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing requirements.
Education and qualifications
Eléonore holds a bachelor of arts and a Master in Economic Law degree from Sciences Po Paris. She is admitted at the Paris Bar.
She speaks French and English fluently.
