Elliot holds an LL.B in Law (First Class Honours) from the University of Glasgow. Elliot also obtained an MSc. in Law, Business and Management from the University of Law.

Elliot is a Managing Associate based in London. Elliot advises across the full spectrum of non-contentious financial regulatory matters, with a particular focus on asset management, sustainable finance and wholesale energy product regulation.
He advises many of the firm’s key financial institution clients, often in the context of strategically important regulatory change (including Brexit, SFDR and AIFMD II implementation projects). He also works alongside clients to address ad hoc technical compliance issues, bringing to bear his experience and market knowhow to navigate complex, often cross-border, regulatory landscapes and offer practical solutions to complex problems for our clients’ businesses.
Elliot also gained deep insights into fund structuring and marketing during a year spent within the firm’s investment funds practice, working for both the London and New York teams.

Elliot is a regular contributor to client-facing webinars, horizon scans and podcasts on a variety of issues. Recent examples include SFDR 2.0, the UK Overseas Funds Regime and the FCA’s new Consumer Composite Investment Regime (replacing UK PRIIPs). Elliot has a significant role in developing knowhow and providing training to colleagues of all levels and across departments (particularly on funds and sustainability developments).
Elliot is proactive across a number of pro bono and DEI initiatives, both internally and externally. He is a department DEI Champion and a mentor to trainees and junior associates. He has also supported comprehensive school pupils from underprivileged backgrounds prepare for university as part of a programme run by the Social Mobility Foundation.
