Overview
Emily is a managing associate in our Investment Funds practice, specialising in fund formation. Emily has deep expertise in private credit. She has worked with several sponsors in the launch of their debt platforms and has advised on a wide range of private credit mandates, including European and U.S. direct lending, infrastructure debt and asset-backed finance strategies, across closed-ended, evergreen and hybrid structures.
Beyond private credit, Emily works with clients across a range of private funds and complex co-investments. She has acted for sponsors in mid-market private equity, real assets and venture capital – giving her the breadth to advise on a wide range of fund formation mandates.
Emily also acts for some of our largest investor clients on cornerstone and strategic investments into European private equity and private credit funds, as well as bespoke managed account arrangements.
Emily spent six months in our Dubai office and completed a client secondment to Macquarie Asset Management, embedded in their private credit legal fund formation team.

- Macquarie Asset Management across its direct lending and infrastructure debt strategies, including co-mingled funds and large SMAs. This includes:
- Macquarie’s European and U.S. Direct Lending strategies.
- All vintages of Macquarie’s sub-investment grade infrastructure debt products.
- A range of infrastructure debt co-mingled funds and large managed accounts, including Macquarie European Infrastructure Debt Fund (aggregate commitments of €3.5bn across the main fund and related SMAs), an Article 8 European green energy debt fund, a climate solutions-focused infrastructure debt fund, and a UK inflation-linked infrastructure debt fund – spanning a variety of innovative and ESG-aligned strategies.
- Macquarie Asset Management on the launch of its first infrastructure-adjacent private equity strategy, a new product line for the business, as well as complex co-investments alongside its regional flagship infrastructure equity funds.
- Macquarie Asset Management on the launch of several private wealth strategies structured to invest alongside its institutional-investor funds.
- Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC) on the establishment of its second-generation infrastructure debt fund, targeting investments across North America, Europe and the UK.
- Qualitas Energy on the launch of its private credit platform, including Qualitas Energy Credit Fund and a large SMA.
- Allianz on the launch of its flagship UK residential real estate fund.
- PSP Investments and AIMCo on cornerstone investments in European buy-out and credit funds.
- Nestle Ventures on its investments in European and Asian venture capital funds.
