Frank’s practice covers a broad range of banking work, including leveraged finance buy-outs, acquisition finance and other structured event-driven financings. All of his transactions involve a cross-border aspect, with a geographic focus on mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other Asian regions.

  • the arrangers on the facilities for the acquisition of Serta China by Advent International;
  • the arrangers on the facilities in respect of the acquisition of AsiaInspection by Navis;
  • the arrangers on the facilities for the acquisition of Shya Hsin Packaging (a cosmetics packaging firm) by Blackstone;
  • the arrangers on the facilities for the privatisation of Global Sources Ltd. by Blackstone;
  • the arrangers on the facilities for the acquisition of McDonald’s China and Hong Kong business by a consortium formed by CITIC and Carlyle;
  • the arrangers on the facilities for Permira’s acquisition of Tricor Group (a corporate and investor services provider);

  • The arrangers on the bank facilities for Cinda’s acquisition of Nanyang Commercial Bank
  • Bank of China on the facilities for JCET’s acquisition of STATS ChipPac (Asset and corporate finance deal of the year, South East Asia ALB Awards 2016);
  • the arrangers on the bank facilities for the leveraged acquisition by CVC Asia of Education International Corporation, a PRC based education business;
  • the arrangers on the bank facilities for the leveraged take-private of 7 Days Inn, a PRC-based hotel chain
  • Bright Food Group as borrower on the facilities for the acquisition of Weetabix group.
