Overview

Ida Jacotey joined Linklaters Luxembourg in 2016 after having gained experience at law firms in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Her practice focuses on general company law, private equity, group restructuring and both domestic and cross-border M&A.

Experience

  • Advised Hg on a range of significant transactions across the European technology and software sectors, including:
  • A €4.8bn multi-phase transaction involving the sale of a 20% stake in team.blue, a leading European digital solutions provider, and a reinvestment through Hg Genesis 10, including a €4m equity subscription and complex shareholder arrangements.
  • The €1.359bn recapitalisation and refinancing of team.blue, supporting its role as a European market leader in digital presence and enablement tools.
  • The strategic divestment of its remaining 5.5% stake in TeamSystem, a leading Italian provider of accounting, payroll and business management software, to Hellman & Friedman.
  • The acquisition of a significant stake in Combell and subsequent roll-up acquisitions of TransIP and Register, strengthening Combell’s position in the sector.
  • Montagu: advising on its US$5.3 billion investment in Visma AS, a Norwegian business software company, as part of an investor consortium.

Education, Qualifications, Languages

She holds a Master degree from the University of Paris Pantheon-Assas & University of Economics and Law of HCMC, French-Vietnamese Master’s Degree in International Business law (Vietnam) as well as a LL.M. from the New York University (NYU).

She is fluent in English and French.

She was admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 2018.
