Jimy is an Investment Funds Managing Associate in Linklaters’ Luxembourg office. He advises international asset managers on the structuring and operation of a broad range of investment vehicles, including UCITS and alternative investment funds, both regulated and unregulated.
Since joining the firm in 2020, Jimy has completed two secondments with prominent international asset managers, lasting respectively 10 and 6 months. During these secondments he drafted legal documentation for retail and alternative fund products and provided day to day regulatory guidance. He also led negotiations with a wide range of service providers on topics spanning distribution, administration, depositary and other key operational arrangements. Jimy has developed particular experience in retail fund products, including UCITS, UCI Part II funds and ELTIFs. He has also broadened his focus to cover alternative investment strategies, which gives him a diversified and agile perspective across multiple asset classes (incl. private assets, credit assets and real estate) and investment approaches.
Before joining Linklaters, Jimy gained experience in banking and regulatory matters at national and international law firms in France and Luxembourg. He also built strong insight into compliance topics while working as an apprentice compliance officer at the headquarters of an international banking institution in France.
Jimy holds a Magistère degree in Franco British business law. He obtained a master’s degree in criminal financial law from Cergy Pontoise University, completed as an apprentice at the regulatory affairs department of HSBC France’s headquarters. He also holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in international business law from the University of Exeter and a master’s degree in business law with honours from the University of Rennes. He holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Rennes 1.
