John has a bachelor’s degree (BBL) in Business and Law from University College Dublin and is admitted as a solicitor in both Ireland and England and Wales.
John is a Counsel based in the firm’s Structured Finance Group in London. He has a diverse finance practice acting for funds, financial institutions and corporates to shape and deliver complex financing and sale/acquisition transactions.
His practice centres on securitisation and warehouse platforms, covering both long established asset types and growing asset classes such as later life lending. Active across the full lifecycle of a transaction, John guides clients from early structuring and term sheets to execution, refinancing and, where needed, restructuring. John is also a key adviser on co-investment arrangements between fund investors and bank lending desks in a wide variety of asset classes including leveraged finance, fund finance and infrastructure finance.
John completed a secondment in a large US investment bank in 2021.
