Overview
Jonas has specialist experience in German and European data (protection) and IT law. He has particular expertise in data protection aspects of new technologies (such as Artificial Intelligence). He advises clients on data protection matters in compliance projects, M&A transactions as well as during investigations of data protection authorities and disputes with data subjects.
Jonas has been working as an Associate at Linklaters since 2024.

- Montagu: advising on the acquisition of Multifonds, a leading global provider of proprietary investment accounting and transfer agency software, in a carve-out transaction from Temenos AG.
- Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale and TARGO Deutschland Financial Holding Group: advising on the acquisition of Oldenburgische Landesbank.
- Asahi Group Foods: Advising on the acquisition of the German brewer's yeast company Leiber.
- Funke Medien Gruppe: Advising on the acquisition of the titles Brigitte, Gala and Eltern from RTL Germany.
Education and Qualifications
Jonas studied German Law at Saarland University. He also completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Commercial Law at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. He completed his legal traineeship at the Saarbrücken High Court (Saarländisches Oberlandesgericht) and at the Linklaters office in Frankfurt. Jonas also holds a doctorate from Saarland University.
He speaks German and English.
