José started his legal career in 2019 as Junior Associate at the Lisbon office of Linklaters, where he got promoted to Associate in 2021. During his traineeship at Linklaters, José has worked in the Corporate, Dispute Resolution and Finance Departments of the Lisbon office, and is now an Associate in the Mainstream Corporate/M&A Group within the Corporate Department.
José holds a Law Degree of the Faculty of Law of the Lisbon University (2018).
In the 1st semester of the 4th year he participated in an Exchange Program at the Federal University of Santa Catarina in Florianopolis, Brazil (2018).
Furthermore José holds an LLM Degree in International Business Law of the Tilburg University, the Netherlands.
During his university studies José participated in the Moot Court on Commercial Law organised by AAFDL in partnership with the Private Law Research Centre, and the I Corporate Journeys; II Financial Journeys – Fintech. He furthermore was a Tutor of Law of Obligations I.
He is a Member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 2022.
He speaks Portuguese, Spanish and English.
