Overview

Kailyn is an associate in Linklaters’ U.S. litigation, arbitration and investigations practice. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and internal investigations. Kailyn has experience in cross-border civil and criminal cases and internal investigations.

Kailyn has assisted global leading corporations, financial institutions and individuals in a wide variety of high-stakes cases. She has counselled clients across a range of industries, including financial institutions/banks, mining/energy, manufacturing and pharmaceutical/healthcare. 

Work Highlights

• Corebridge Financial and American General Life: assisting in significant data breach MDL litigation where the underlying breach alleged to impact more than 2,500 organizations and 67 million individuals globally.
• TDK Electronics Inc. and TDK (Zhuhai FTZ) Co., Ltd: assisting two TDK entities (U.S.- and China-based) in federal proceedings in the Southern District of NY on breach of contract, unfair competition and unjust enrichment claims brought by a TDK customer and competitor.
• GLAS Trust Company: advising the administrative and collateral agent in the Delaware Chancery Court and New York Supreme Court litigation related to acceleration of US$1.2bn term loan.
• The Chief Information Officer of Viatris: advising in both civil and criminal actions in DOJ and SEC insider trading cases; the charges in both the civil and criminal trials were dropped by the SEC and DOJ.
• Epiroc: representing the company in an internal investigation into cross-border billing practices, supplier selection and conflicts of interest.
• Pride Group Holdings Inc. and various U.S.-based subsidiaries: acting as counsel in disputes and litigation related to its Chapter 15 filing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. The Chapter 15 filing is in recognition of Pride Group’s Canadian CCAA proceeding.
