Laura advises national and international companies on all questions of individual and collective employment law. This includes, in particular, advice on workforce changes, restructurings, staff reductions and questions of works constitution law.
Experience
- Carrier Global Corporation: advising on (i) the sale of its global commercial refrigeration business to its long-time joint venture partner Haier for US$775m, including approximately US$200m of net pension liabilities, (ii) the sale of its Commercial and Residential Fire division for US$3bn and (iii) the US$430m sale of Riello to Ariston Group.
- Holcim: advising on the acquisition of Xella.
- HomeToGo: advising on the acquisition of Interhome.
- iCON Infrastructure: advising on the acquisition of Alliance Medical.
- Mercedes-Benz Group: advising on the proposed sale of Athlon.
- Nestlé Deutschland AG: advising on the sale of the production site in Conow.
- Nexans S.A.: advising on the initiation of exclusive negotiations with Motherson on the sale of the autoelectric Group.
- OSRAM: advising on the sale of part of the sensor business to Infineon.
- Tate & Lyle: advising on the acquisition of CP Kelco
- TPG Rise Climate and GIC: advising on the €6.7bn acquisition of Techem.
- Unilever: advising on the carve-out and demerger of its ice cream business, now known as The Magnum Ice Cream Company (TMICC).
Education and Qualifications
Laura studied law at the Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main. She also completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the Northwestern University, Chicago.
She speaks German, English and Spanish.
