Madeline specialises in international arbitration and commercial litigation. She has experience acting in a wide spectrum of commercial disputes, with particular experience in commodities, construction, and financial services disputes. Having lived and worked abroad for most of her career, she has the linguistic ability and cultural sensitivity of managing large cross-border disputes.
While at Linklaters, Madeline went on secondment to the Free Representation Unit to work as a solicitor-advocate. In this role, she brought various employment law cases on behalf of pro bono clients to be heard before the Employment Tribunal. She has also undertaken a secondment to Linklaters’ Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations team in Hong Kong.
Prior to joining Linklaters, Madeline worked in the debt restructuring unit of a major UK bank. She also has previous work experience in the United States and Hong Kong (in the case of the latter, including experience at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre).
She is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
