Overview
Rahul is a partner within the firm’s Banking practice, based in Singapore. Rahul started his career in London and has more than 15 years of experience across Singapore and London advising on a wide range of complex cross-border financing transactions.
Rahul has advised clients on leveraged buyouts, public-to-private transactions, investment grade borrowings and special situations transactions. Rahul has a particular interest, and significant expertise, in private credit transactions including unitranche loans, holdco PIKs and back-leveraged transactions. Rahul also has top-tier emerging markets experience, with a particular focus on India.

- Bharti Global on the financing for its proposed acquisition of a stake in BT Group plc.
- the lenders to IKS Health in relation to the financing of IKS Health’s acquisition of AQuity Solutions.
- the lenders on certain acquisition financing facilities provided to a Fajr Capital-led consortium for the US$813m acquisition of Aster DM Healthcare’s (Aster) GCC Business.
- the lenders on several privately funded LBO transactions for financial sponsors, in relation to the acquisition of minority or controlling stakes in Indian businesses.
- the lenders on several private margin loan transactions for various leading private equity sponsors and leading Indian promoters, in relation to leveraging their existing investments in various Indian businesses.
- the lenders on several private refinancing transactions for various Indian companies (both promoter-controlled businesses, and portfolio companies of financial sponsors).
- the lenders on a Holdco financing to a family office investment vehicle controlled by the promoters of a leading Indian business conglomerate.
- a leading Indian renewables energy company in relation to a private credit transaction involving certain financing solutions made available by a leading international credit fund.
- the lenders in relation to Carlyle’s investment in Quest Global.
- the lenders in relation to the acquisition by Azentio Software (an Apax portfolio company) of Beyontec.*
