Rick Cuperus

Overview

Rick is part of Linklaters' Corporate M&A practice in Stockholm and mainly focuses on public M&A, equity capital markets and private capital. He also regularly advises on private M&A mandates as well as general corporate law queries.

Rick’s clients include leading international and domestic financial sponsors, investment banks and multinational corporates.

Rick was seconded to Linklaters’ corporate team in Amsterdam in 2025.

ECM highlights:

• The underwriting banks: advising on Verisure’s EUR 13.7 billion IPO on Nasdaq Stockholm, the largest ever European private-capital backed IPO.
• The banks: advising on Boliden’s SEK 3.75 billion private placement.
• The banks: advising on Alvotech’s triple listing on Nasdaq Stockholm and subsequent SEK 750 million private placement.
• IK Partners: advising on its SEK 192 million sell-down in Netel.

• Polaris Private Equity: advising on its majority investment in the Valtus Group.

Education, Qualifications and Languages

Rick holds a Master of Laws degree from Lund University. Rick spent one semester abroad as an exchange student at the University of Sydney in Australia where he took courses in international business and cross-cultural management.

Rick speaks Dutch, Swedish and English.
