Overview

Roger advises corporates and financial institutions on public and private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and equity capital markets transactions. His experience spans across a wide range of sectors including FIG, real estate, technology and transport & logistics.

Roger has considerable regulatory experience. Prior to joining the firm, Roger was the Senior Director and the Head of the Takeovers Team at the Securities and Futures Commission (“SFC”), responsible for the overall operations of the Takeovers Team and represented the SFC in significant matters before the Takeovers and Mergers Panel. He also oversaw the development of takeovers and mergers policy in Hong Kong and was involved in other policy initiatives within the SFC, including listing and post-listing regulations. Roger was also the Co-Chair of the Asia Pacific Takeovers Regulators Forum, a network for takeovers regulators across the Asia Pacific to exchange ideas and views.

Roger is currently a member of the SFC’s Takeovers and Mergers Panel and the Takeovers Appeal Committee.
