Overview

Svetlana advises clients on a broad range of corporate matters, with a particular focus on corporate governance, corporate reorganizations and local and cross-border M&A transactions. Her M&A experience encompasses public and private transactions, private equity, joint ventures and strategic investments.

Deals

La Caisse: advising in connection with a US$5bn investment by investment vehicles managed by KKR in Vertical Bridge.
Generali: advising on the acquisition of Conning Holdings Limited, a leading global asset manager for insurance and institutional clients, from Cathay Life, a subsidiary of Cathay Financial Holdings, one of the largest Asia-based financial institutions (resulting in a JV between Generali and Cathay).
A sovereign wealth fund: advising on its indirect minority investment in a U.S.-based technology company developing cloud ERP (enterprise resource planning) business management systems for its clients across the globe.
A private equity sponsor focused on real estate investments: advising on the sale of a significant minority stake in its management business to an institutional investor specializing in minority GP investments.
Ardian: advising on the sale of Frulact Group, a leading producer of natural fruit-based and plant-based specialty ingredients for the food and beverage industry, to Nexture, a portfolio company managed by Investindustrial.
Volkswagen AG: advising on the acquisition of three Scania Financial Services companies in Russia.

Experience

Prior to joining the New York office, Svetlana was an associate at the Moscow office of Linklaters specializing on local and cross-border M&A and advising the clients on a variety of matters relating to corporate governance, general corporate advice, and antitrust and foreign investment. Svetlana’s notable deals from the Moscow office included:

A large Russian bank: advising on the indirect sale of their 25.07% stake in a technology company.
A Russian individual: Advising on the sale of 75% in the largest tour operator in Russia and related shareholders’ arrangements.
An Abu Dhabi-based investment and holding company: Advising on the acquisition of all shares in a Swiss-based pharmaceutical company.

Experience, Qualifications and Languages

Svetlana holds a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) from New York University (2025), a Masters Degree in Law from The National Research University Higher School of Economics (Moscow, Russia, 2019) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Novosibirsk State University (Novosibirsk, Russia, 2017).
