Tanya was personally named a ‘Commended Individual’ at the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards Europe 2025. The Contract Analysis platform she co-led was awarded ‘Standout Tool’ at the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards 2025.
Tanya Sadoughi is an AI Lawyer Lead in Applied Intelligence, Linklaters’ multi-disciplinary practice operating at the intersection of law, AI and data science. She works directly with clients to identify how AI can be deployed on their matters, designing bespoke agentic solutions and AI-powered workflows now used on live deals across the firm.
The firm’s first dedicated AI Lawyer, Tanya took on the role in 2022 and went on to build and lead the AI Lawyer function for the Global Banking practice. As AI Lead, she was the primary point of contact for clients exploring AI adoption in financial services, and her team worked with the banking practice to deliver client mandates.
From August 2026, Tanya will work with the firm’s US Private M&A practice in New York to build an AI-native capability.

Tanya speaks regularly on AI in legal practice. Recent engagements include a keynote at the Prosus AI in Legal Conference in Amsterdam (March 2026) and the LMA’s “AI in Financial Services” conference (April 2026). She will speak at the LLMxLaw Conference at the University of Cambridge in June 2026.
Tanya served in 2025 as a Business Advisor through the Grow Movement x Linklaters partnership, mentoring the founder of an AI-enabled marketing startup whose company won its first equity-free grant.
Tanya holds an LLB in Law from Brunel University (First Class Honours, Thomson Reuters LLB Prize for the highest overall grade) and an MSc in Law, Business and Management from the University of Law (Distinction). She completed the Oxford Artificial Intelligence Programme at Saïd Business School in 2024 with Distinction (95.3%).
She holds Scrum Master (Scrum Alliance) and Product Management (Pragmatic Institute) certifications. She was admitted to the roll of solicitors in England and Wales in 2019.
