Overview
Thomas is a Frankfurt-based Counsel in Linklaters' Tax practice. He advises clients on complex cross-border tax matters, with a strong focus on M&A, private equity and capital markets transactions — working closely with colleagues across practices and jurisdictions to deliver integrated advice on even the most complex deals.
His transactional work spans the full deal lifecycle: from tax-efficient structuring through to post-acquisition reorganisations and financial restructurings. He has advised financial institutions, corporations and private equity sponsors on cross-border tax planning, M&A transactions and post-M&A integrations.
Thomas has also extensive experience in advising financial institutions and corporations on large tax compliance matters, including tax criminal investigations.

- Advised Carrier Global Corporation (i) on the acquisition of Viessmann Climate Solutions for €12bn and (ii) on the sale of its global commercial refrigeration business to Haier
