Overview
Verónica is an Associate in the Real Estate practice group of the Lisbon office´s Corporate Department.
She specialises in comprehensive advice on the structuring, negotiation and execution of domestic and cross-border real estate transactions & projects, providing end-to-end transaction management, in a wide range of matters within the real estate sector.
Her extensive experience includes assisting domestic and international corporate clients such as investment funds, developers, occupiers, and financial institutions, in complex real estate matters, ranging from single asset and portfolio sales & acquisitions to real estate development projects, sale-and-leaseback transactions, share capital increase projects, and other diverse operations, involving tourism, commercial, industrial, logistic and residential properties. Verónica has significant expertise in drafting and negotiating a wide spectrum of real estate contracts and ancillary documentation pertaining to transactions, including works agreements, project management and lease agreements.
She furthermore is experienced in incorporating companies and SPVs, and in matter & team coordination across multiple jurisdictions with major international law firms in multiparty operations.
Professional experience
Véronica joined the Lisbon office of Linklaters in 2025 as Associate in the Real Estate group of its Corporate Department.
She started practising law in 2017 as Trainee Lawyer at the Lisbon office of the law firm Uría Menéndez, having worked in the Litigation, Public Law, Employment and finally in its Corporate/Real Estate Department where she stayed and where she became an Associate in 2018, specialising in Real Estate Law and representing the firm in the firm´s international network meetings, addressing business expansion and partnerships, as well as strategic and industry developments.
Education and qualifications
Verónica holds a Law Degree (2016) and a Master’s Degree (2017) from the Lisbon School of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
Her academic background further includes a three-years Executive Program for Lawyers course certification in Finance, Management & Strategy for Lawyers from the IE Business School, Madrid, in association with the Financial Times (2022).
Additionally, she obtained a Postgraduate Degree in Corporate, Finance, Restructuring & Litigation from the Lisbon School of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (2023).
She is a fully qualified Member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 2018.
Verónica speaks Portuguese, Spanish and English.
