Overview

Victor Burki is a managing associate based in Antwerp. He advises on all aspects of corporate law, including M&A and equity capital markets.

Victor assists clients on both domestic and international transactions. He regularly advises on both M&A and equity capital markets transactions, including IPOs, Rights Issues and Accelerated Bookbuild Offerings.

He is known for combining best-in-class legal knowledge and precision with a thorough understanding of the commercial and strategic drivers behind a transaction. In addition to his master of laws, Victor holds an Executive MBA from Vlerick Business School.

Work highlights

A selection of Victor’s recent notable experience includes advising:

  • The reference shareholder on the € 381m public takeover of a Belgian fruit and vegetable supplier;
  • SCR-Sibelco NV on its €610m public share buyback offer;
  • the Underwriters on the €200m, €110m and €300m ABBs of shares in VGP NV;
  • the Underwriters on the €252m IPO of Unifiedpost Group;
  • a U.S. private equity fund on its investment in the Belgian football club Club Brugge; and
  • Agfa-Gevaert on the €975m sale of part of its HealthCare IT business.

Education and Qualifications

Victor holds a Master of Laws from the University of Antwerp and an Executive MBA from Vlerick Business School.
