Overview

Xu is a Managing Associate in the Capital Markets practice group of Linklaters. She is based in Amsterdam and advises on capital markets transactions, with a focus on equity and equity-linked transactions. Her expertise includes equity offerings and debt issues and liability management transactions, acting both for financial institutions and issuers.

In 2018, Xu has spent six months in the firm’s Hong Kong office, giving her direct experience of working with local clients in Southeast Asia.

  • ASR Nederland N.V.: advising the joint bookrunners on the EUR 593.6m accelerated bookbuild offering of the major Dutch insurance group in connection with the combination of its Dutch insurance and banking activities with those of Aegon N.V.
  • Fugro N.V.: advising the joint bookrunners on the EUR 116m accelerated bookbuild offering of a leading provider of geo-intelligence and asset integrity solutions for large constructions, infrastructure and natural resources.
  • BE Semiconductor Industries N.V.: advising the sole global coordinator and sole bookrunner on the EUR 175m convertible bonds issue of a multinational company that designs and manufacturers semiconductor equipment.

Professional experience

Xu started her career as a lawyer at Linklaters in 2013 and in the capital markets practice in 2014, where she mainly focused on equity transactions. In 2017, Xu spent 6 months in the Linklaters Hong Kong office, where she focused on debt capital transactions. In 2018, Xu joined Flow Traders, a leading global financial technology-enabled liquidity provider in financial products listed on Euronext Amsterdam, as a legal counsel. She returned to Linklaters as a Managing Associate in 2021.

  • RHI AG: advising on its GBP 1.5bn transformational merger with Magnesita, a listed Brazilian competitor, and the premium listing of the combined group in London.

Education and qualifications

Xu obtained both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in international business law at Tilburg University. She also studied law at the University of Hong Kong.
