Alexander is specialised in advising companies and investment banks on international capital market transactions (debt and equity capital markets) with a focus on Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
He has many years of experience advising on corporate bonds, hybrid bonds and high yield bonds, including promissory notes and debt issuance/CP programs as well as bond buyback and exchange offers. This also includes complex restructurings, in particular of bonds and promissory notes.
In the area of equity capital markets, he has specialised experience in advising on IPOs (in particular through carve-out/subsidiary IPOs or spin-offs), including the associated corporate reorganization measures. He regularly advises on rights issues, in particular to finance M&A transactions, and other share placements; this also includes the issuance of convertible and exchangeable bonds.
In addition, he advises corporates on all aspects of compliance requirements under capital market law.
Alexander is recognized in the market as one of the leading lawyers for capital markets law. He is listed by the JUVE German Commercial Law Firms Directory and Chambers as one of the leading lawyers in the areas of DCM and ECM.
