Overview

Arne joined Linklaters in 2021 as part of the Belgian Corporate and Finance Practice. He advises on all aspects of corporate and financial law, with a particular focus on private M&A. Arne is affiliated with the Research Group ‘Business & Law’ at the University of Antwerp.

Work Highlights

Virya Energy: advising on the EUR 1.55B sale of all shares in Parkwind NV, Belgium’s largest offshore wind operator, to JERA.
Euronav: advising on the EUR 1.15B acquisition of all shares in CMB.TECH, a diversified cleantech maritime group, from CMB.
Euronav: advising on the transaction involving (i) the acquisition by CMB of Frontline’s 26.12% stake in the company for $18.43 per share; (ii) the acquisition by Frontline of 24 VLCC tankers from the Euronav fleet for $2.35 billion; and (iii) the termination of Euronav's pending arbitration action against Frontline and affiliates.
Elia Group: advising the operator of Belgium’s transmission system on its EUR 590 million rights offering.

Education and Qualifications

Arne holds a Master of Laws degree (magna cum laude) from the University of Antwerp.
