Overview
Ashley is a senior associate in Linklaters’ U.S. Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations Practice. Ashley represents major multinational corporations and executives in complex civil and criminal investigations and litigation. She has experience in cartel and antitrust investigations, class actions and civil litigation, white collar defense, sensitive internal investigations, merger clearance, and compliance matters.
Ashley serves as Vice Chair of the ABA Antitrust Law Section’s Cartel and Criminal Practice Committee and is currently part of a team of lawyers working to update the Criminal Antitrust Enforcement chapter of Antitrust Law Developments. Ashley also has an active Pro Bono practice focused on supporting civil rights, which has included working closely with the Human Rights Campaign and the National Women’s Law Center.
Ashley is qualified to practice law in New York and Ontario, Canada.
Experience
Representative legal matters include:
- Executive of a global fragrance house: defending an individual in parallel cartel investigations being conducted by the DOJ and other antitrust authorities.
- Generic pharmaceutical company: representing a foreign defendant in various multidistrict class action proceedings involving price-fixing allegations and separately product liability matters.
- Multiple manufacturing companies: conducting internal investigations into price-fixing allegations and assisting with or advising on leniency.
- Sports union: conducting a sensitive internal investigation focused on corporate governance matters.
- Software company: representing as defendant/counterclaimant in litigation involving false advertising and defamation claims.
- European equipment manufacturer: assisting with post-acquisition due diligence and compliance program review.
- Individual: representing an executive in a bid-rigging investigation by the DOJ focused on the intelligence community.
- Individual: representing an individual in parallel insider trading investigations by the DOJ and SEC.
