Belarmino is an Associate in the firm’s Dispute Resolution department in Lisbon. He has been developing his practice in the areas of litigation and arbitration, advising corporate clients, such as banks, investment companies and energy companies, with a special focus on civil and commercial dispute resolution, such as public contract arbitration, as well as on regulatory offences litigation and corporate criminal litigation matters, such as advising on white collar crime and AML issues. Belarmino furthermore has experience in internal investigations and assists clients with compliance work.
Additionally, Belarmino has experience in advising on insolvency scenarios, Labour Law and Data Protection matters.
Belarmino started his legal career in 2017 as a Trainee-Lawyer at CMS - Rui Pena, Arnaut & Associados, where he became an Associate in 2019, integrating its Litigation & Arbitration department. He then joined Linklaters in 2021 as an Associate of the Dispute Resolution department in Lisbon.
Belarmino holds a Law Degree from the University of Lisbon School of Law (2017) and has concluded the master's specialization course in Law and Legal Science-Specialty of Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences.
Belarmino also attended the VI Advanced Post-Graduate Course in Arbitration Law (2021), the V Post-Graduate Course in Insolvency and Corporate Recovery Law (2021) and the II Intensive Course of the Criminal and Administrative Data Protection Regime (2019), all of them at the University of Lisbon School of Law.
During his time at university, Belarmino was student counsellor, member of the governing bodies of the Academic Association of the University of Lisbon School of Law and worked as Front-Office Assistant at Randstad.
Belarmino is a fully qualified Member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 2019.
He speaks Portuguese and English.
