Overview

Daniel is a managing associate and a member of our corporate team in Singapore. He has extensive experience in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and private equity investments across various sectors, including retail, insurance, education and finance.

Work Highlights

• KV Asia Capital: advising on its disposal of TF Value-Mart Sdn. Bhd. to a consortium led by Intermediate Capital Partners.
• Navis Capital Partners: advising on its divestment of Alliance Cosmetics, a leading regional cosmetics business, to Mandom Corporation, a Tokyo Stock Exchange-listed manufacturer and distributor of hair care, skin care, cosmetics and fragrances.
• Navis Capital Partners: advising on the disposal of its majority stake in HG Power Transmission to publicly listed Rohas Tecnic Berhad.
• Affinity Equity Partners: advising as Malaysian counsel on its agreement to acquire INTI University and Colleges in Malaysia from Laureate Education Inc.
• China Galaxy International Financial Holdings Limited: advising on its S$167m acquisition of a 50% stake in CIMB Securities International Pte Ltd from CIMB Group Sdn Bhd and approximately MYR 600m subscription for a 50% stake in a joint venture with CIMB Group Sdn Bhd for the entire Malaysian stockbroking business of the CIMB Group.
• DRB-HICOM Berhad (DRB-HICOM): advising in connection with the investment, by Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (ZGH), in PROTON Holdings Berhad (PROTON) through the subscription of ordinary shares representing 49.9% of the share capital of PROTON and, concurrently, the sale by DRB-HICOM of the entire stake in Lotus Advance Technology Sdn Bhd to ZGH and Etika Automotive Sdn Bhd.
