Overview
Jason is a Managing Associate in the Litigation, Arbitration and Investigations team in London, specialising in competition damages claims and sports regulatory issues.
He has more than a decade’s experience defending complex and high value competition damages claims, and has represented corporate clients before the High Court, Competition Appeal Tribunal, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.
He has acted on the cross-border merchant interchange fee litigation for many years, including coordinating strategies against parallel claims in multiple jurisdictions, and defending proceedings at trial. Jason also has extensive experience of defending clients before the Competition Appeal Tribunal in significant and funded competition class actions.
He has also acted for defendants in a broad range of sectors, including finance, technology, pharmaceuticals, mining and utilities.
Jason has been a leading member of Linklaters’ sports sector since its launch in 2019. Jason specialises in advising clients on complex sports regulatory matters, including governance, disciplinary, contractual and competition law issues. Jason has acted for a range of stakeholders from sports governing bodies, to teams and broadcasters, and for clients in football, Formula One, tennis, cricket and sailing.
