Julia has specialised experience in cross-border syndicated lending, acquisition finance and project finance. A particular focus of her work is on refinancings, pre-insolvency financial restructurings as well as distressed and special situations. She has broad understanding in complex, multi-jurisdictional restructurings and insolvencies across industry sectors.
Within this area, Julia writes thought leadership publications, delivers training, prepares advice and documentation and develops Linklaters’ position on complex areas of law. She helps fee earners deliver consistent, high-quality advice on distressed situations and sophisticated financing structures. Her experience across lender, borrower and stakeholder perspectives enables her to produce targeted, commercially oriented material that supports effective advice on complex and time-critical matters.
Julia began her career as fee earner in the Banking practice at an international law firm where she gained transactional banking experience.
She joined Linklaters Frankfurt in 2008 as an Associate (Knowledge) in Banking, progressing to Counsel (Knowledge) in 2026. Since 2021, she has focused in particular on R&I.
Julia is admitted to practice in Germany. She speaks German, English and French.
