Overview
Martin is a corporate managing associate in the London office’s private capital group. He regularly advises private equity houses and other financial sponsor clients on all types of private capital M&A, co-investments, joint ventures, disposals, restructurings and portfolio company issues.
Martin has spent time seconded to the Linklaters Hong Kong office, as well as AnaCap Financial Partners, a financial sector focused private equity house.
Experience
Martin's most notable deals include advising:
- Hg on its strategic investment in the Access Group, valuing the group at an enterprise value of approximately £1bn.
- SVP on the c. £1.6bn sale of Cory Riverside Energy to a consortium led by Dalmore Capital.
- Jacobs Holdings on the acquisition of Cognita Schools from Bregal Investments and KKR and subsequent co-investment by Sofina and BDT Capital.
- Vantage Data Centers, supported by Digital Colony Partners, on the establishment of its European hyperscale data centre platform, and the acquisition of Etix Everywhere.
- TDR Capital on the establishment of a consortium investing in the carve-out of CarNext from leasing company LeasePlan and a €400m capital raise.
- Ardian on the acquisition of Míla ehf, Iceland’s largest telecoms infrastructure company.
- Ardian on the US$575m acquisition of Verne, a leading Nordic data centre platform.
