Overview
Matthew Bopp is an associate in Linklaters’ Banking and Restructuring & Insolvency practices. He advises borrowers, arrangers and lenders on a variety of domestic and cross-border finance transactions. He also has experience advising companies in complex, multi-jurisdictional cross-border restructurings in US chapter 11 and 15 cases and in out of court restructurings.
Experience
- Country Garden Holdings Company Ltd.: advising the foreign representative on the cross-border restructuring of the Country Garden Group’s $14.1 billion offshore debt and related chapter 15 case.
- Holcim Ltd: advising on implementing a revolving credit facility and bridge loan facility to support its 100% spin-off of its North American business, Amrize Ltd.
- Invacare: representing Rhone Capital in connection with its acquisition of Invacare.
- John Wood Group: advising the lender group on an amendment and extension of their existing facilities in connection with a proposed acquisition of the group.
- The Lycra Company LLC: representing The Lycra Company in connection with its prepackaged chapter 11.
Education, Qualifications and Languages
Matt graduated from Northeastern University with a B.S. in business administration with a focus in finance and business analytics and obtained his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, where he was an Articles and Notes Editor for the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review.
