Overview

Queenie is a counsel in our Hong Kong SAR office, specialising in Hong Kong initial public offerings (IPO), pre-IPO investment, cornerstone investment, post-IPO equity financing and M&A transactions, and Hong Kong listing rules compliance.

She advises a broad variety of issuers and listings in Hong Kong with a particular focus on the new economy sectors, including the listings of specialist technology companies under Chapter 18C, pre-revenue biotech companies under Chapter 18A, issuers with weighted voting rights (WVR) and VIE structures, as well as in dual primary listings, secondary listings and spin-off listings. She was seconded to the Listing Division (IPO Vetting) of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

- TMT and consumer: Knowledge Atlas (also known as Zhipu, the first IPO of large AI model developer), Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL, the largest Hong Kong IPO in 2025), Mao Geping Cosmetics, Chenqi Technology (also known as Ruqi Mobility), RoboSense Technology, Kuaishou Technology, JD.com, Kanzhun (also known as BOSS Zhipin), Maoyan Entertainment, iDreamsky Technology and China Literature
- Healthcare and biotechnology: AB& Bio-Tech, Sipai Health Technology (also known as Medbanks), Medlive Technology, Recbio Technology, Harbour BioMed, Hansoh Pharmaceutical, China Resources Pharmaceutical and Fosun Pharmaceutical
- Industrials: SANY Heavy Industry (the third-largest Hong Kong IPO in 2025) and Chery Auto (one of top 10 Hong Kong IPOs in 2025)
Equity-linked transactions, including Alibaba Group’s HK$12.02bn exchangeable bonds into Ali Health
M&A transactions involving listed issuers, including BOCHK’s HK$68bn sale of Nanyang Commercial Bank to Cinda Financial, BOCHK’s HK$7.7bn sale of Chiyu Banking Corporation to Xiamen International Bank and the establishment of Livi VB Limited (a virtual bank established by BOCHK, JD Digits and Jardines)

Education, Qualifications and Languages

Queenie obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration (Law) and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Hong Kong. She completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws at the University of Hong Kong.

Queenie is a qualified solicitor in Hong Kong SAR. She is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
