Tom studied Economics and International Studies at St Chad’s College, Durham University.

Tom advises major corporates and financial institutions on cross-border corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, public takeovers, joint ventures, carve-outs and corporate restructurings.
Tom has significant experience of working on transactions governed by the UK Takeover Code, acting for bidders and target companies in various situations, ranging from recommended offers to competitive situations involving multiple bidders. Tom also advises public companies on responses to shareholder activism, as well as general corporate governance matters.
Although now based in London, Tom has previously undertaken a secondment to the Linklaters Amsterdam office.
