Overview
Tibor has experience advising on complex cross-border restructurings, recapitalisations, opportunistic and special situations financings, distressed M&A transactions, strategic contingency planning, enforcements and formal insolvency processes.
Tibor advises funds, banks, insolvency officeholders, corporate debtors and their directors and sponsors, and other stakeholders across several sectors, asset classes and geographies.
Tibor is actively engaged in the firm’s innovation initiatives, GenAI and focused on improving efficiencies and application of behavioural science in practice.
Tibor was seconded to the restructuring legal team of a clearing bank in London for six months in 2021.
Experience
- CityFibre: advising the ad hoc group of lenders and hedge providers on the recapitalisation of the group implemented via an English law Scheme of Arrangement.
- Infrafibre: advising the lenders and hedge providers of €895m facilities in relation to this German headquartered fibre company.
- Wittur: advising the RCF lenders on the €530m refinancing of the debt of Wittur, including advising on the position of ancillary facilities provided by certain of the RCF lenders.
- MGT Teesside: advising a large syndicate of creditors (banks, hedging banks and funds) on the debt restructuring of MGT Teesside via a Part 26A Restructuring Plan and introduction of a new money super senior facility and subsequent increase of the new money facility via a second Restructuring Plan.
- Accolade Wines: advising the exiting sponsor and the company on a consensual restructuring of its senior debt facilities.
- The LYCRA Company: advising an ad hoc group of mezzanine lenders on, and implementing a multijurisdictional enforcement strategy designed to take equity ownership and full control of The LYCRA Company.
- Administrators of Intu Properties and certain of its subsidiaries: advising the joint administrator of intu Properties PLC and certain companies within the intu group on disposals of two shopping centres.
- Emirates Hospitals Group: implementing the first DIP like super senior facility in UAE under the new bankruptcy law to support sustainable operation of the business.
- Bond Trustee: guiding the trustee (acting on behalf of the secured bond holders) through a particularly sensitive administration involving a court application to exercise the court’s power to permit a sale of charged property free from security.
- Private Credit Fund: providing strategic advice to the client in respect of its TLB exposure covering available enforcement options, triggers, intercreditor dynamics and pre-emptive defensive and priming actions that a sponsor might take.
- Private Credit Fund: advising on a debt for equity swap implemented via a consensual restructuring with a Contingent Value Rights element at new Parent level.
- Petrofac: advising on the debt aspects of the refinancing plan involving an equity raise, bridge facility, new RCF, new bilateral facility and public bond issuance.
