Alain is a corporate M&A counsel with significant experience in corporate finance, advising the firm's international private equity and corporate clients on their M&A transactional, structuring and restructuring matters.

Alain is also advising the firm's real estate clients on their structuring and restructuring matters.

  • EQT Healthcare Growth and EQT Growth Fund: advising on the Luxembourg corporate aspects of the structuring and internal funding related to their acquisition of a majority stake in CluePoints
  • EQT Active Core Infrastructure: advising on the Luxembourg corporate aspects related to the structuring and funding of the acquisition of Groupe OCEA
  • EQT Healthcare Growth: advising on the Luxembourg corporate and structuring aspects of its acquisition of Mabtech Holding AB
  • CapMan Infra: advising on the Luxembourg aspects of its joint venture with NYAB Finland Oy for the acquisition of Skarta Energy Oy
  • CapMan: advising on the Luxembourg legal, regulatory and tax aspects related to the structuring and implementation, as well as the first and second closings of its second infrastructure fund

  • A leading global investment manager: advising on its joint venture with Cura and a leading private equity real estate investment manager to invest in Deutsche EuroShop AG, a listed company on the Frankfurt stock exchange
  • LDS Investments LP: advising on the Luxembourg and US regulatory, tax and corporate aspects of the setup of its umbrella fund, LDS Fund S.C.A. SICAV-RAIF, seeking to invest in high yield bonds in the Nordics through its first open-ended sub-fund, LDS Nordic High Yield Fund
  • EQT Real Estate II Fund: advising on the SEK8bn takeover of Stendörren Fastigheter AB (publ), which was carried out as a private purchase of the majority shares in Stendörren Fastigheter AB (publ), followed by a mandatory public offer on the remaining part of the outstanding shares
  • A multinational food and drink processing conglomerate corporation: advising on its acquisition from EQT of a minority stake in the IVC Group, the leading European veterinary services provider
  • Triton and KKR: advising on the sale to CVC Capital Partners of the Mehiläinen group, which provides social and healthcare services with high quality and customer-oriented approach almost everywhere in Finland
  • Triton: advising on the restructuring of the Logstor group, a leading supplier of pre-insulated pipe systems for energy-efficient transportation of liquids and gases for district heating and cooling as well as industrial purposes and oil and gas pipelines
  • Triton and KKR: advising on the SEK5bn IPO and listing of Ambea AB (publ) on Nasdaq OMX Stockholm
  • CBRE Europe Value Partners 2 CarryCo SCSp: advising on its SEK800m establishing of a new JVCo with Estea, a Swedish privately owned independent real estate management company, and the acquisition of the seed portfolio consisting of two forward funding projects, from Bonava
  • Nordic infrastructure fund: advising on the syndication to several European and US co-investors of securities related to a Nordic infrastructure asset
  • CapMan Infra: advising on the set up on their second infrastructure fund

Education and qualifications

Alain obtained a law degree and a master in business law at the Free University of Brussels.

Alain is a member of the Brussels, Luxembourg and Swedish Bar Associations.

Alain speaks fluent French (native language), English and Swedish and has a passive knowledge of Dutch.
