Overview

April’s practice focuses on a variety of cross-border corporate transactions and financings. She has experience with project finance for renewable energy and infrastructure; transnational banking, including leveraged finance, fund finance and acquisition finance; and cross-border mergers, acquisitions and asset sales.

Work highlights:
April has advised clients on a wide range of complex international transactions. She has recently advised, among others:
  • sponsors of an 85 MW hydroelectric plant and transmission line in Perú in a project financing;
  • lender in a financial restructuring related to a corporate spin-off of a commercial agricultural producer in Perú;
  • sponsors in international and domestic biomass-related transactions of an 600,000-metric ton pellet mill in Arkansas, U.S.A. (ongoing);
  • sponsors in connection with the bridge and long-term financing of four wind farms in Argentina (ongoing).

Education and qualifications

April studied history and philosophy at Covenant College and received her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.
