Overview

Isabella (Izi) is a managing associate in the Energy & Infrastructure team, who advises governments, sponsors and lenders on the development, construction, financing, acquisition and divestment of energy assets (including power, renewables, oil & gas, and petrochemicals). She has particular expertise in working on greenfield projects and multisource project financings, especially where they relate to the energy transition and projects which are working towards a net-zero future.

Izi is also the head of innovation and efficiency for the global energy & infrastructure team at Linklaters, and leads on internal technology-focused programmes as well as externally advising clients on innovation and legaltech. She applies her experience in her new energy technology practice to help implement data-centric and technological solutions for her clients on their matters.

Izi has spent time working with Linklaters in London, Paris and Dubai and has a cross-border practice with experience in emerging and developing markets.

Work highlights

A selection of Izi’s recent experience includes advising:

  • the lenders and ECAs on the development, construction and financing of the Greater Changhua 1 offshore wind farm in Taiwan
  • the ECAs, DFIs and commercial lenders on the development and financing of the Arctic LNG 2 and Yamal LNG megaprojects 
  • Equinor, Masdar and Statkraft on the development, construction and financing of the Dudgeon offshore wind farm
  • the lenders and ECAs in respect of the project financing of the Amur Gas Chemical Complex
  • the lenders on the development, construction and financing of each of the Protos, Newhurst and Earls Gate energy-from waste facilities
  • INEOS on the development, construction and multi-sourced financing of a greenfield world scale chemical cracker and PDF project in North West Europe
     

Education and qualifications

Izi read a BA in Jurisprudence at The Queen’s College, University of Oxford.
