Overview

Adrien joined Linklaters Luxembourg in May 2018, having previously gained professional experience in the tax department of a Big Four in Luxembourg.

Adrien is involved in corporate groups advisory with respect to restructuring transactions and international investment funds tax structuring via Luxembourg regulated and non-regulated vehicles, with a specific focus on infrastructure, real estate and debt funds. Aside from his focus on funds and financial investors, Adrien also advises on the set-up and tax structuring of joint venture companies, as well as the various tax angles of local real estate transactions both by way of share deals and asset deals.

Experience highlights:
  • A leading renewable and green energy investment firm: advising on the set up and structuring of their first Luxembourg infra debt fund.
  • A French global investment firm: advising on the set up of their fourth, fifth and sixth generation of European infrastructure funds, as well as advising on and structuring various acquisitions made by these funds across Europe.
  • A German automobile and motorcycle manufacturer: advising on the establishment of a new venture capital fund for automotive technologies.
  • An American global investment firm: advising on the additional closing of its real estate fund with investment through three separate entities and capital commitment.
  • A leading real estate investment company: advising on the establishment of a Luxembourg specialised investment fund. in the form of a S.C.A., SICAV-SIF. The fund will invest in property in the healthcare sector (e.g. clinics, nursing or retirement homes or equivalent) as well as in real estate collective investment schemes in Europe.
  • Partners Group: advising on the structuring of a new Luxembourg investment platform involving two parallel AIFs as well as the subsequent transfer of an existing investment portfolio to this new platform on a cashless basis.
     

Education and qualifications

Adrien holds a Master degree in Tax Law and in Law and Management from the University of Liège (Belgium).

He is fluent in English and French.
